I imagined plankton glowing quietly in the night sea, and the tiny specks of life that coral releases. In the darkness, faint glimmers and stirrings shine as living things. The floor of the dark night sea is like a sky full of stars. To me, the title Nocturnal feels like an important word, one that affirms all of us who live and are active in the hours without light.
