Mai_M Art ProjectDigital Data
You can buy the original data of a work (at its original quality) as a download. It is for your personal enjoyment, for example as a wallpaper on your phone or computer, or printed on your own printer or by a print service.
Once we confirm your payment, you can download right away. We also email you the same link. Each purchase is for one work.
Price
The price for each work is based on its base price and the size of the data (¥500 to ¥3,000; for buyers in Japan, consumption tax is included). It is shown on each work's page. When paying in JPYC, the amount is the same at 1 JPYC = ¥1. There is no shipping charge.
What you receive
- The original data as the artist made it. The format, size in pixels and file size are shown on each work's page and on the purchase page.
- When downloading, you can also choose a PNG version. The PNG is converted from the original, at the same quality (the file is larger).
- Sizes vary by work. As a guide for printing at 300 dpi, 1,000 pixels is about 8.5 cm (3.3 in) and 3,000 pixels is about 25 cm (10 in).
- Colors may look different depending on your device and the paper you print on.
Terms of use
The copyright in the work stays with the artist. What you buy is the right to use the data for your own personal enjoyment.
You may
- Use it as a wallpaper or lock screen on your phone, computer or tablet
- Print it yourself and display it at home (including having a print service print it for you)
- Keep it on your own devices (more than one device is fine)
You may not
- Give, send or post the data or prints to others or online (including on social media or file-sharing sites)
- Sell the data or prints (including at auctions or flea markets)
- Make merchandise (T-shirts, cards, calendars and so on) to give away or sell
- Use it for work, such as advertising, products or websites for a shop or company
- Edit or alter the work and publish it, or present it as your own work
- Make it into an NFT, or use it to train AI

Payment
- Credit card (Square): after the purchase page, open Square's payment page (it looks like an invoice) and pay there.
- JPYC (Polygon or Kaia): send JPYC from MetaMask installed in a browser on your computer. The network fee (gas) is paid by you. To tell orders apart, a tiny fraction (less than one trillionth of a JPYC) is added to the amount you send.
Bank transfer is not available for digital data.
Delivery
Once we confirm your payment, we show the download page right away and email you the same link. The link works for 30 days, up to 10 downloads (original and PNG combined).
If you've bought it before
If you have already bought the same work with the same email address, the purchase page will tell you (it only shows "already purchased" to whoever enters that email address). If you've lost the data, you don't need to buy it again: you can get a new link under "Get a new link" below. If you still want to buy it again, you can go ahead.
Works bought on this device are marked as purchased on their pages (this is stored only in your browser and is not sent to our server).
Cancellations and returns
Because this is digital data, we cannot accept cancellations, returns or refunds after payment. However, if the problem is on our side, for example the data won't open, is damaged, or is the wrong work, we will send you the correct data or refund you. Receipts
If you need a receipt, please reply to the delivery email (for buyers in Japan, the receipt also serves as a qualified invoice).
If you live outside Japan
For buyers outside Japan, we currently sell only to these countries and regions: the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Norway and Switzerland.
In some countries, a shop abroad has to register for that country's tax after even a single sale of digital data, so for now we are not selling to other countries and regions. Prices are in Japanese yen (your card company may charge a currency conversion fee). No Japanese consumption tax applies to sales to buyers outside Japan.
Get a new link
Enter the email address you used for your purchase, and we'll send new download links for the works you bought to that address (earlier links will stop working).
