I made this by duplicating my piece "Symptoms" and painting over it. Like that one, it was painted while I was waiting at the hospital. Someone was on the phone on the stairs just outside the building, and I tried to capture how their voice echoed. Their voice actually carried more on the stairs than it would have inside, so it was hard to tell why they'd gone out there at all. It made me feel that what society calls common sense can be a little absurd sometimes.
