Soft gradients of color, as if blended with a water brush, are what define this piece. I paid some attention to leaving empty space so the whole image would feel clear and translucent. Building up layers of color and letting them bleed together with the brushes was a joy, and I'm amazed that water-brush effects are possible even in digital painting.
