I believe in finishing every bite, so I was surprised to learn that in some cultures it's considered better to leave food on your plate, and this piece is about that surprise. Something I do without a second thought because I believe it's right can be bad manners in another culture, or come across as meaning something else entirely. I hope we can get to know each other and respect one another's ways.
