I once had a chance to think about what love is, and I couldn't come up with an answer right away. But when I tried translating it, I came across the phrase "love is sacrifice," and it really struck a chord with me.
To explore this theme, I started by drawing a heart — the actual organ. A real heart is divided into more parts, but I split it roughly into right and left. The colors grow brighter toward the surface to show how wonderful love is, and deepen toward the inside to show that love isn't all fun. Since everyone probably sees it differently, I left whatever comes after "LOVE is" hidden. What word would you put there?
