In vivid colors, all sorts of surface-level things — things that only need to satisfy in the moment — scatter like flower petals. A wide but shallow range of interests stays nicely in balance, letting one glide smoothly through the world. I'm not good at controlling my emotions and desires, so when I see people who navigate life this well, I get a little envious.
