Parallelograms vary depending on the angles of their corners, but they exist because they fit a definition. Yet when a parallelogram sees a square, its corners fixed at 90 degrees like graph paper, or, at the other extreme, a shape drawn with free lines, it feels tempted. I painted that inner conflict as it tries to become a square, then tries to become a free-form shape. People can be like that too — without noticing our own strengths, we sometimes end up leaning toward someone else. It made me hope I can resist that temptation and stay the best version of myself.
