A pleasant scent fills the air, and with it a scene comes vividly back to mind — that's what I painted. Within the gentle floral fragrance, there's also a fresh, green note of leaves and stems. I still remember the image that came to me the first time I smelled this flower's essential oil: a whole room carpeted with flowers.
